We changed our name.

Benjamin 1784 is now Sunday Foundation as of August 2022.

When we launched our organization in 2020, we chose the name Benjamin 1784 as a homage to Benjamin Franklin, a scientist, entrepreneur, and a Founding Father of America. In 1784, Franklin lent some money to a friend in need with the instructions to repay the debt not to him, but to someone else in need and that the beneficiary do the same - to pay it forward. Kind of like what we do.

Benjamin 1784 was a special name for us, but as we began our global operations we found the name was a mouthful and little difficult to explain and pronounce in different languages and cultures.

Consequently, we wanted an easy new name with universal appeal. We thought… well, everyone likes the weekend. How about Sunday?

We hope you like the new name!

Our name change has been recorded with the IRS and the State of California where we’re registered and headquartered. Our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization structure and our EIN is remains unchanged.
